Thanks for posting, Trevor!

I would jump on it: have a love for rotten Cop-cars with missing drivetrain.

Could you get me the sellers mail or phone, please? I am not at FB. Much appreciated!

But by the photos, ME cannot tell it is a CHP-car or a Cop-car at least: viny roof (!!!), thus no spotlight holes in a-pillars visible, to much chrome trim (front doors at least), wrong bench-seat, no remote-trunk-opener, no tinted glass.

Only one police-item I can spot is the steering-wheel.

But that could be an easy change-over from a wrecking yard or garage parts sale: also civilians like to not burn their hands ;-)

BTW: what does the seller mean with “keeping also the dropout” ???

Moin Carsten :)

Sure, that would be the simpliest and most definitive way.

WHY do sellers not post pics of tag(s) when they obviously promote sth. as “special”?????

Moin Tobi,

the typical laziness of many sellers

Seller wants to keep the rear end, too

@dropout: Ah, ok, learned sth. today, thanks!

1. Front bumper, has 4 bolts/plugs from the push bar, somewhat CHP unique.
2. Door trim was with the car in the trunk from Dodge.
3. Did not use remote trunk release (CHP)
4. Relocated spare (convertible location), CHP request.
5. Seat reupholstered
6. White steering wheel, CHP specific
7. Hole in dash pad, reading light wire and gun lock/mount bracket.
8. Large round (4") hold right of right grill bracket.
9. Car has been painted, one would assume they filled the spotlight holes, this looks to be better quality than the typical auction paint.

Without seeing the car in person I would give this a 99% chance of being a true CHP used car.

Thanks you all 3! @T-revorNobody @68PK21 440.6bbl and @MrMoparCHP .

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

But really: NO tinted windows??? I don’t think ALL glass got changed in its life, so to me it is quite an oddity to have non-tinted windows on a CHP Polara.

Also thought tinted windows were standard to any MOPAR of that time as soon as one ordered AC: were there 69 CHP Polaras existend with NO ac? Thought that turned standard for the 69’s after being introduced on SOME of the 68’s.

Please teach me, fellows.

@hergfest : So you bought it? Congrats!

And thanks for saving me of getting sidetracked from my Fury Pursuit.

If you don’t mind: yes...cause should be of general interest for all to post here what exact car was offered.
Too late now I guess, stupid seller, should of sent what was requested if I was (not) a bonifide buyer he could've had a bidding war going on.

Tallzag bought it, as far as we know it’s a real CHP car. Has most of the tell-tale signs like the holes in the front bumper.
Why would you want a bidding war on it? Just to cost someone else on the board more money? Ad was up for two hours, Tallzag got the guys number, and told him he wanted it. Done. When these cars come up you don’t dick around just get the deal done.

Do you know when he plans to pick it up? I'm still in the area and cold give the final 1% to confirm it is a real CHP used car.

@MrMoparCHP do you have my number? If not Pm me.

Yes I bought the car. Never had a real 69 CHP car before and always wanted one. I’m with Alan on the 99% sure it’s CHP but for $750 even if it isn’t I couldn’t go wrong with it. Buddy is picking it up for me tomorrow. Appreciate the seller keeping his word on selling it to me.

Pic of the tag and speedo are posted in the FB comments, it’s real. I hope your friend gets there fast, it’s still listed as for sale and the derby dummies are starting to post comments.
