Last chance on a very restorable 69 imperial two door coupe! 440 engine with Maltese cross and X on Id tag, last running about a year ago. Very clean rust free body and frame! Slightly damaged on bottom of drivers quarter panel.

I wonder why the a/c compressor is sitting on top the steering gear area, it appears? Looks like is has some miles on it, but the body does seem exceptional in terms of little rust - especially for a Minnesota example that is apparently left outside.

On the other one, it is removed as well. Probably to read the engine tag?! But I'm not that sure about the rust free body and frame with all the moss on the carpet and and all the surface rust on every single visible part...
Mine was much less moist inside and there are a lot of small rust holes in the floor boards... I bet this one is pretty shot underneath. I like the white interior tho.

I just realized, it has a roof rack. :wideyed: Were they available in the after market back in the days or is this something self made?

I noticed the rack right away(usually do) and it looks to fit the car perfectly. Must be aftermarket but I’m shocked at how well it fits, how it looks is another story...

I hope it gets saved. I love white interiors. Even if it is rusty underneath, this car + $1000 desert-baked Newport = Rotisserie resto in whatever color you want.

I like the roof rack. It gives it the look of a high end Bed & Breakfast customer courtesy car.
The tops on these cars are so large they come close to a lesser station wagons size. A rack from about any wagon might fit.

I was just trying to take him at his word, even though I agree with you otherwise, since at least the exterior that we can see is pretty clean surprisingly - so maybe the same is true of the underside. I wonder whether the car has been in MN all its existance. I doubt it could be in that condition on the outside if it has been there the whole time.
