On a convertible I don't worry about it much. I drove my Dakota Convertible with the top down. It was a black truck with charcoal gray interior and black top in LA traffic on the 101. It didn't get too bad when it was a 100+ outside. Then again SoCal is not as muggy as Florida, LA, MS and some of the other southern states.
 
Well, might as well toss the P.S. pump, P.B. booster, and W.S. washer reservoir while you're at it.
Come to think of it, you really don't need that big clunky thing sitting on top of the carburetor. Damn thing is always getting in the way.

Now you know Damn well that the other items that you list aren't as obtrusive as that damn compressor!
