The car is now on eBay, with 4 bids to $4k and reserve unmet (asking price remains in the 10k range in another site) For records, here are a fender tag pic (VIN: DM27H9D132601) and decode (courtesy MyMopar.com). Note that the "Optional Super Lite" and "Power seats" mentioned in the ad are not listed on the tag:

D: Dodge Polara, Monaco
M: Medium
27: Convertible

H: 383 330HP OR 335HP 1-4BBL 8 CYL
9: 1969
D: Belvidere, IL, USA

132601: Sequence number

E63: 383 cid 4 barrel V8 H.P. 335hp
D32: Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission
B3: Light Blue Metallic Exterior Color
B3: Trim - Basic, Cloth/Vinyl Bench Seat, Unknown Color (should be blue)
M6B B3: Unknown Int. Door Frames (should be blue)
925: Build Date: September 25
072401: Order number

C21: Unknown Top Color
C55: Bucket Seats
L31: Hood/Fender Mounted Turn Signals
M31: Belt Moldings
P31: Power Windows

R35: AM/FM Stereo Radio (10 Watts)

Question for @polara71: Dave, very few (19?) HP383 Polara 'verts were made in 1970 -- what about 1969's, were they as rare?

Is that repaint a factory color?

C21 refers to the centre console or buddy seat I think but in this case means nothing as original seat has been replaced.

I don't recall a 383-4 69 but I'm not paying too much attention to those. The 383 - 4 in any C is very uncommon. ( as noted in the 19 1970 convertibles made)
The 440 in the 69 seems to be more common than the 70..

The L36 superlite code is never on the tag.

Yep, so clearly there's been a repaint in a color that is not B3, B5, or B7. The original B3 is peeking throughout the repaint in the tag picture, too.

That shade of blue didn’t look familiar. Looks like the generic blue Earl Schieb used to shoot on a car for $50.
Still like this car. Nicely equiped, apparently rust free, 500 ragtop.
