That Fury died and needs burial not a resurrection. RIP
Pretty much......after seeing it in person, its bad.....really BAD.......but it has two possible outcomes
1.) Excellent parts car with plenty of good parts
2.) A car that with a lot of work would be an absolutely gorgeous car.
From the factory this car has a loaded Fender tag.
After spending two hours with the car at the sellers house, I'm seriously considering buying it to use as a temporary parts car and eventually a project for me.
Anyway the cars story........
It was sold new in Toronto, Current owner bought it in 1979......Drove it 10 years......then he and wife moved to Port Perry to start a family, he put the fury in a friends barn.......his friend told him a few months ago "You should probably come get your old Plymouth before the barn falls down on it"........Before the car was stored, the floors, frame rails and body were in very good condition with only pin holes, other then the rear quarters which were bad when he bought it in '79........He really wants the car to go to someone who will restore it........
Okay......the good.......
It has everything but the carpet......original valve covers.....and rear wheel well mouldings......It runs very well.....has all new brake parts.....
The bad......those brake parts were new in 1989..........RUST......it has LOTS of rust..........It needs a front Stub basically.....some floor pan work......needs two complete quarter panels without a doubt.........and some trunk floor work......
I have a big soft spot for needy Fury's........I just need to talk to some people and see if I can arrange for a place to put it.......if I can.....I will most likely end up buying it....
Nick
