I look at every 71 Polara and think " that's the best looking car on the planet" .
I also look at this one and believe the price is fair.. very fair.

Looks very solid for being back East. Have we seen this one before? The bite out of the dash pad looks familiar.

Nope he’s not. Car looks solid (trunk carpet helped) but it’s too rough cosmetically for me. I’d need to change the dash and redo the seats to be happy, and that alone kills the economics.

PS: looks like the voltage regulator is original(dimple).

I think Stan meant you were on it to see if we've seen this car before. I remember a comment about "The dog taking a bite out of the dash".

Economics be damned .. The passion for the car is what matters. This is a modifiers dream.

From the build sheet, I see DL41L1F24xx17 (likely DL41L1F248817 or DL41L1F249917 -- it would be great if someone could confirm). @71Polara383 may be interested as this is yet another Newark-plant 1971 that seems to have survived rust very well (ignore the roof, the underside and trunk is what I am talking about).

So it is DL43L1F249977 -- thanks!

Edit: Car is up to just under $1.6k on eBay as of Friday COB.

The 4 door hardtop is really sharp. I never thought I would lust after any 4 door but as I get older, I appreciate them much more. That car has character.

The bidding went up to $2,550 on eBay yesterday. The high bid not meet reserve, and so DL43L1F249977 has been re-listed.
