If it was a 2 door, I never would have posted it until it was already in my name.

A two door would likely have been more expensive. Hard to believe people are still using Craigslist. I look on there once a week and all I ever find is motorcycle ads, never Polara ads.

I wonder if the car has been repainted? Am I correct that it looks like GY8?

I wonder where those guards are from, possibly from a '71 Newport royal. They give the car a "tough" look. Probably would appear more at home on a black car. I sort of like them but they protrude quite a bit, and break up the lines of the grill and bumper. Even the stock guards interfere with the lowest line on the bumper.

A quarter century ago when I was buying any part that would fit a 70/71 Polara I had picked up an NOS set of guards similar to these or the same as these. When I was selling off my stockpile many guys wanted that set. They were not a Mopar part but had desirability (I guess) . I presume for police cars . I agree with your thought, it does add a "tough" look but I think they take away from the beautiful face.

Easy fix. A set of NOS front bumper guards and mounting hardware can still be found. Hard but I got one and I know of another.

Probably the most abundant NOS part available for the 70/71 polara is the bumper guards. That and Fender BSMs.

I gotta disagree. Hugely disagree. Couldn't disagree more.
I gotta agree with you disagreeing.

The word is fugly.

I do like the car though.... and 4 door hardtops have been growing on me lately.

I'm sure it must just be me having a hard time with uploading pictures on this site lately. I have not changed anything on my pc but loading pictures has become a bit of a pill.

Thank you for posting @cuda hunter -- I see that DL41L1D158247 originally sported a white gold vinyl top.
