This is probably a common observation but I do wonder how many people buy C Bodies expecting some brutally responsive automobile .. or at least expecting to build one. They've certainly been made in to some respectable 1/4 mile machines but not by anyone that I'd consider average in the mechanical department.
It's just that I've seen so many get the hood scoop/RWL/tachometer (10,000 RPM wired to a big block)/new way-too-big carb/dual exhaust/"what's the widest tire" tires treatment. Must be a bummer after putting all that dough into unnecessary stuff that you have the 50 year old version of what was already a goose down mattress.
