The body and even the lower rear quarters look solid, so I was puzzled about the asking price for YM43T3C217749 until I saw the holes in the roof. Combined with the surface rust bubbling on the top of the rear RHS fender, it looks like the car was stored but the back was not fully protected from water at the top?

Thoughts on this JB9 (a great color for an Imperial IMHO) LeBaron?

Typical vinyl roof rot, doesn't look too bad though, and as you pointed out, the rest of the car appears solid, tilt column, power vents, not bad for under US$3K.

Tires are good, not weather cracked. Drivers side door pull handle will be provided. Great running car, A/C is non operable, I have not checked it to see if it will hold a vacuum. Fuel system, brakes, hoses, belts, alternator have all been made safe and operable. Cruise control works. All windows and door locks work. Some bubbling under the rear window under vinyl top. Car has been repainted, unknown when. Front fenders forward have been repainted.
All in all, a good running 2 door Imperial with no major flaws.

I really wanted to buy Lil Red back then but didn´t know it was for sale. When Doc mentioned it here it was already sold. Funny that I somehow found it´s 1973 twin

Same exterior colors, same interior, same options. Interestingly Lil Red has P45 ( power deck lid release (optional)) and N23 (electronic ignition (standard)) mentioned on the fender tag. Mine does have these features as well but not shown on the tag.

To my knowledge the Chrysler electronic ignition was optional in 72, standard in 73. However this is an Imperial thread, I'm out of my league here.

This is a pic of the fender tag on my '73, no N23 on it either:

Thank you for posting YM23T2C249806 -- hope this GE7 LeBaron two-door goes to a good home!

$7.500,- high bid that´s a bummer...

I would not buy a car from Ebay, tried it a couple of times many years ago. Complete disaster.

I bought my 72 Imperial in 1992 at age 27. It had less than 50,000 miles on it. I paid $3500.00. We've enjoyed over 80,000 miles together, mostly from 1995 to 2001. Now it mostly stays protected in garage and enjoyed on special occasions. I own and have owned many cars; this hands down is my favorite car ever.
