Id say keep looking hard and you will eventually find a 500 2 door parts car that will yield a roof
Okay I see, yours is a coupe design the same as the Ph23 roof on a fury. The coupe roofs will be the same on New Yorkers/Newports as well as the Chrysler 300's. Unfortunately the NYB 4dr hardtop is different to this.
Yeah seems to be the issue I am running into. The wrong roof on every single one I come across. And the ones that pop up with nice clean sheet metal, aren't cars worthy of being a parts car. I did do a little digging and came across a sad sight, but it's on the west coast again. And it's gold to boot it doesn't look very promising but it's a non vinyl car...sorry to hijack your post.
I'm faced with the same ting on my Fury, same rear window as yours but more rusty, i will post pics as I start on it after i do the front cowl windshield area.
I just thought of something, I will be picking up this car sometime in the near future and I will have a good look at the rear window area.
I have been slowly stripping the 72 for all the parts i need for my S23 and I am almost there, I will sort through what is left and offer up the parts soon.
Not quite yet! I can still smell meat on it!
I found you can use some of the back channel for patching on a coupe roof, check the pic of the coupe trim laid into position in a hardtop windshield channel.
Still a few hours of stripping to go. I'll be glad when its done.
not sure if Ive ever seen cars stripped to the bone like Ive seen here in the last week ..
Don't forget that trunk pan. She's stripped down pretty good. I try and do the same.
Yes the trunk pan is one of the best parts of the car, including the chassis rails underneath, all of that is being saved.
Stan beat me to it.
Why is the stub still attached?
picking her clean
I was going to pull it, ran out of time and definitely didn't have the space. It had some rust in a few spots as well.
rot or rust?
and what do we have here?
