1972 distributor with electronic ignition

Hi, my 1970 Chrysler 440 distributor has a loose shaft and the ignition isn't staying in place. It has been modified for electronic ignition. I am ordering a new distributor from Rockauto and would like to know if the 1972 440 distributor will work straight.

All about the curve. Most rebuilders set them in the middle of a ten year streach. Yes it will work, but well is a potshot. Mopar electronic? And what is not staying in place might be a simple fix, the plate clip cracks on them.

The electronics are from different manufacturers, not Mopar. Thanks for the advice.
