This is a 1974 Chrysler imperial LeBaron. I bought this car from a woman who's father passed away and she parked the car in the garage for many years. The body is in very good shape considering the age of the vehicle. I am no expert on these cars and know very little about them, so you be the judge by the pictures. I have looked for rust on this car and can not find any, probably because it has been in the south east, has very low mileage, and also parked in an enclosed garage for probably a decade from the information I have been told from the family member I purchased the car from. As far as cosmetics the biggest thing that needs to be restored is the front seat. There is also a tear in the 2 front door panels. There are other small things like a few scratches on the paint and a piece of chrome molding missing under rear back windshield. Back seat, headliner, dash, and floor board seem to be in very good condition and all original to the car. As far as the mechanics of the car I was told they parked it because it was having mechanical problems, but she was not sure what problems it was having. So I don't know if it was a minor issue or a major issue. It could very well be a simple fix. I have no way of knowing what may be wrong with it. I have not tried to crank the car because the ignition switch and key is missing from the car. I am not a mechanic or I would have tried to crank the car. It will need a new ignition switch to even try to crank the car. So I am not sure if it will even crank putting the ignitiin switch in because once again I do not know what mechanical problems it was having. Therefore I am selling this car as is, where is. I have a clear south carolina title on hand. The odometer is showing 46,000 miles. feel free to come inspect the car. Call show contact info for any further questions.

Looks like a complete car with no rust. I believe it had 4 wheel disc brakes, probably air ride suspension and ATC II that probably doesn't work.

The driver's seat is 100% Corinthian Duct Tape.
He's hedging in his description of the car and with the pics.

Well, I'm slow on the up-take on this one, so I missed the actual add (unless all of the pics here were all that the add had...).

Thoughts:
1) 75 Grille...why?
2) Ignition cylinder gone...How much damage to column?
3) There's no way that all of the wood decal treatment got rubbed off the steering wheel in a mere 46,000 miles...mileage claims are bogus.

To confirm 1978 NYB's comments:

4 wheel discs- Yes
Load leveler- No...debuted in 75.
ATC II that doesn't work...Yup, probably.

But I love triple black Imperials..I got mine for $700.00

I've owned the car since 1989...yup I'm a flipper alright! My wife wishes I was a flipper, I'm sure! LOL!

Needs work but man that looks like a good solid ol car. And its black... I would undoubtetly put that back on the road. Ignition could be fixed. They are not to bad I put one in my 74 since it was getting loose and sloppy. Always wanted a black one. What state was that beast in commando ?

I agree...it looks like mine did when I got it. A good solid project. Of course pictures can lie, so really good examination of quarters and rockers are in order.

These cars look great with the headlight doors open or closed...love it.

Completely agree with you. I'm just partial to 74 imperials since they have the solid non vented front bumper (only year made) . Got two green ones now, would love to have a black one one day
