My latest victim...I came across this Cordoba in 2019 not far from my shop.
I knocked and no one was home, but a neighbor was outside and I gave them my number to pass on to the owner. I missed his call and he left a voice-mail and told me an absurd to me price. I never called back.
Just before Thanksgiving this year, he called. I couldn't believe he still had my number. Apparently the county and neighbors started getting on his case and he wanted it gone. Sounding more reasonable, I went to inspect the car.
He claimed it to be a Texas car, but as the words came out of his mouth I was reaching underneath to feel the common rust area on the FMJ bodies (front rails). I said "it's a Texas car?" As I squeezed the rail to dust in my hand. I looked at him and said, "Well its an Illinois car now" as I dumped the flakes of rust that was once a frame rail out before his eyes. Then I popped a battery in and found the engine stuck, as I assumed it would be. Reluctantly he took my fair offer and I dragged it to the shop.
That said. It's up for a full part out.
Header panel and front fender extensions are sold.
Wheels are pending (I think - marketplace)
Everything else is up for grabs.
Let me know if you see something you can use. I want to save as much good off this thing as possible before moving it along
