Just curious, what makes that relay unique other than the mounting flange?

It's a SPDT relay with a quirk. The way it works is it applies power when the headlights turn on to open the door and when the headlights turn off to close the door. The reversing is done in the motor switch. The weird thing is it returns ground to close the doors through the headlight filaments which is an indicator of a bad light, so the doors won't close if you have a burnt out bulb. I've never heard or read about that "bonus" anywhere.

I've replaced mine with a Tyco relay when I discovered that little fact. With a headlight relay, the filament is isolated and doesn't feed back through the relay, so the doors won't close when you turn the lights off.
