At the Greensboro, North Carolina Auction yesterday, a significant 1959 Mopar collection was auctioned at no reserve. All 1959 Mopars - 6 Dodges, 1 Sport Fury coupe, 1 Imperial coupe, 1 DeSoto coupe, a white 300-E coupe with special ordered blue leather interior, and a Dodge D100 truck that brought the second highest price of the collection. By all means watch the whole auction if you choose (more than 7 hours). It starts at roughly the 4 hour mark and runs about 27 minutes. The attached video starts at that point.

These cars all got top of the mark. I thought the convertible would hit 130-150. Same guy buy all 3 D500's

Abstracting from the 175k car, it would be somewhat ironic to a 1959 new-car buyer that the pickup truck would, 61 years later, sell for more than the wagon, which itself sold for more than the Imperial.

Haha, pretty wild. I thought the wagon would go for 30. The other cars were driver quality IMO. The truck and convertible were the best 2 for sure.
