1965 Chrysler Newport wagon 383 4-speed 4 barrel 4 wheel disc brakes daily driver very clean interior very solid car tachometer works!! 15,000 cash only. Serious inquiries only. If listed it is available, ask another question. Chesapeake, VA

The console looks like a normal 300 console , the lettercar console does have a 300 medaillon.
The grill is from the 300L.

That can't be a factory 4 speed, right? Anyone get the fender tag?
My opinion is no its fake and not factory as consoles to the best of my knowledge were not offered in wagons, notice in his video and pictures too that he skips right over the fender tag, and mainly the pedal dress up too where the gas and e-brake pedal have it BUT the brake and clutch pedals don’t. If it IS real its GOTTA be ultra rare. SOMEONE PLEASE GET THE FENDER TAG!!

While I am not an expert, and my knowlege is more around 66s, I would have to say it's a conversion for a couple of reasons -

1) The brake and clutch pedals don't match

2) The brake and clutch pedals are B body ones. The C body pedals have a horizontal relief in them. See the photo of the pedals in "the other 65 conversion" 4 speed wagon with a hemi that was supposedly the dealership engineered Street Hemi 1966 300 M test mule out of Texas before the Mopar cancelled it. The other pic is my genuine 66 Canadian Monaco 4 speed car with power brakes. Non power brake 3 pedal C bodies had the brake pedal sit higher - on the same plane as the clutch pedal.

3) There is a shifter indicator delete plate installed in the centre of the gauge cluster for cars with consoles. That has a molded relief, usually picked out in silver. The blue wagon does not have it, it's just a flat cover.

Just my thoughts!

I messaged the seller and its not a factory four speed, he converted it. Looks like he did a nice job though.
Ah ha, so its not. Thank you for confirming it for us, I highly suggest he should put that in his ad. Did you ask to get a fender tag picture by chance?

Conversion or not. It looks to be nicely done. Not $15K nicely, but maybe more like $9500 nice to me. I do like it though.
