Just thought I'd start this thread on my 65 since I finally started to make some progress. I will include as many pics as I can. Let's start at the beginning. Before this was even my car! It was originally bought by a doctor. He must have like things simple because there are almost no options on it! There was an aftermarket ac system it it though. I wish I had more to say about the first owner. Bit that's all that I heard from the second owner. His name was David Sybrant he lived on the same road as me. He had a yard full of cars I can remember when I was a kid riding bike by and looking at all the old junk he had. He had this car since the mid 80s and quit driving it after he reportedly was changing the distributor and dropped a bolt through the hole. He was unable to find the bolt and was scared to start it up again so he parked it! And there it sat on the side of a hill until my older brother spotted it around the late 90s. My brother pestered him for a number of years for the car! Finally in 2000 Dave sold the car to my brother for $200. Now my brother had quite a collection going already probably a dozen or so cars and had big plans for this one! He had a 66 fury wagon home and my dad bought in South Dakota around the same time. It had a great running 383 and sure grip rearend. He tore bother cars apart. Put the subframe from the wagon. Engine transmission a rearend from this really nice wagon! Drove it about a mile and decided to tear it back apart! To put the running gear in a 63 Chrysler that he had. This pic is from just after he swapped everything! And that's even little ole me on the bike in the picture!

after this picture. The car was torn apart. Whole front clip was off and the car sat like that until around 2005. When my dad brought home a 57 Lincoln! With the deal was a parts car 57. Both two door hardtops! My brother ended up giving me the fury 1 and the wagon that year after seeing how much if a basket case the 57 Lincoln I had was. I didn't care I was 9 years old and played in that car every day! Still have all of these by the way! Not much really happened with the car up until recent. Not much a 9 year old can really do. I worked for years gathering parts. Rust free hood trunk and fenders. Never found any rear quarters. My brother was thinking ahead. After he bought the car. He bought those REALLY cheap ones from jc Whitney! Unfortunately it's all I still have. I've searched quite a bit for rust free quarters I'm just going to make these work! It's telling me my pictures are too big to be uploaded now for some reason. Here's a link you should be able to see the Lincoln's as well as some progress on the car as of recent. Since they don't sell hardly any body parts for these cars im going to be making most if it from scratch. Now this car is never going to be stock again so im going to make a few body mods. o://photos.app.goo.gl/4DjabIiAltQvubBf2
The plans for the car are as of now. I have a 440 from a 73 newyorker that I'm building up a little bit. I know this next part some of you purists aren't going to like... Since I can't find any good side trim for the car it will be deleted. Fuel door will be deleted. Going with a two tone black and granite metallic. Black on top and granite on the side. Maybe with a pinstripe to break it up. Going to be upgrading the suspension with firm feel components as well. I know I missing something I'll add some more pics later. Let me know if you can view the ones in the link. I've had lots of time to think about what I want to do to this car! Time to start doing it!
