A what's it worth thread. An older friend is selling a project that has been idle for 25 years.

I looked at it briefly and he indicated that he had the radiator, a spare deck lid, and a spare hood. I was told that the 383 ran when put in this shed. It's a 2 door which makes it a little more desirable. It's not severely beat up, in my opinion will need a drivers door, but it may be repairable. Amazingly the car doesn't seem rusty. The taillights on the decklid are missing, but the spare decklid does have them, although it's bent. It's a bench seat car, and automatic on the column. It's sitting on 4 flats. The car is complete, but will need a full restoration, or could be a great parts car. I have no interest in it, but I can give contact information to interested parties. If I obtain the car, I would only part it out and send the hull to the scrap yard. Please let me know what you think the value is as is. I'm just trying to help an old friend dispose of some things due to health issues. Thanks

You did not mention which engine the car has. It appears to be a 383. If its a four-barrel engine, it can kick the value up by 15%. I would say, the car is a sub-number four car that is worth between $3000 and $4500. Regardless, it is a desirable car and should NOT be parted. Here is what Collector Car Market has to say:

probably $3-5K if no rust on undercarriage or rear quarters where they rust most, looks pretty beat up though including the hard to find stuff like the trim, rear tail lights you said were missing, etc. My only concern if I were buying it would be that it would cost more to restore that one than it would be worth restored. I picked up a similar fury 3 same year a few years back in slightly better shape than what that one looks like with all the trim present in good condition for $2500 but ended up parting it out after a body shop screwed up the body during restoration

Interesting that the car is a Fury III and has manual steering and brakes.

Southern car though... If the storage was dry, and the underside is good, this could be saved. A half hour with a pressure washer will tell you.
