66 Fury taillight-restore or replace?

What's on the car is the original taillights with a lovely dent. I have a set of Sport Fury tail lights but I prefer the original look. Does anybody have experience in repairing these or is it better to replace them?

It can be tricky to repair and re-chrome pot metal without ruining the item in the process. Use the nicer items for an upgrade that many might not notice.

Depending on the back side is structured like, perhaps you can minimize it?
Put a block of wood on the outer surface, a block of metal on the inner side, and tighten a big C-clamp on it?
But the chrome might crack.

As Cbody67 said, can be tricky. Success not guaranteed!

I have a couple sets of these that are in better shape than yours if you are interested, but they don't have the chrome on the panel, they are painted a silver/gray metallic color. My Fury III came with them painted. I repainted them using some wheel paint - they came out beautiful, looked original.
