66 Fury vent windows...

are these rebuildable? I managed to find a decent one for passenger side, looking to repair or replace the drivers side without shelling out $150...if I can help it. One thing I have learned in the short time I've had this car...I thought someparts for my 68 Firebird were either hard to find or expensive....seems like these C bodies are getting little to no love when it comes to restoration....lucky for me, this car does not need a lot... :-)

Welcome. Neat 'vert. And your trailer hitch reminds me of the one that was on our family car ('66 VIP) when I was a kid in the 60s. The VIP was the primary tow vehicle until mom and dad finally got a proper tow vehicle, a '73 pickup truck, in the mid 70s.

Your wing regulator unfortunately looks pretty far gone there.

, Ok, just need to find driver side....no rush. I sold onw of my 2 68Firebird's to get this vert. Went over it real good, only bondo I found was corner of body on both sides just behind the back corner of both doors. There was some small holes in both floor pans, treated the rust and fiber glassed them in gtg...drove it over to buddy's house to show it, he took these...

The good news is, all the C-bodies from 65-68 used those same vent window parts, so they shouldn't be too hard to find.
 
I have sold a couple sets on here over the last year or so. I will see if I have any more when I get back to the house.

You can rebuild them if you have parts. It is not hard. I rebuilt mine using 4 different regulators. Swapped out bad parts for good and packed them with some grease and have worked flawlessly for years. I see you figured out how to get them apart, that was the tricky part for me....good luck....I know where there are a few of them in a local yard...I should grab them the next time I am out there....
