Well in order to remove the rest of the interior trim I have to remove the window seals. So I rather replace with new instead of the 50 year old ones that a dry and brittle, probably a smart idea lol.

I was also thinking of replacing the window sweeps or car wiskers, I did a search and only seen 4 door kits. Anyone know where I can get the 2 door kit?

i paid top dollar, but steele rubber is the spot. try them.

there is someplace in canada that has the stuff also, but i forget their name just now.

and when i got the stuff, it was from tophat whiskers or whoever it is anyways - but i got a better price thru steele vs. going direct.

try not to die -

I've found 2-dr sets in various places over the last 15 years, so if you don't hit paydirt keep digging.
JCWhitney used to carry universal stuff in cut-to-fit lengths, too.

I use #4 machine screws and locknuts to fasten mine to the upholstery panels, try to get the lowest-profile head you can find. Mcmaster has CAD data for fasteners they sell. You can probably get a low-profile head in stainless for less than $5 a box + shipping. The slight jog at the vent window is a small hurdle but I got past it.

For the outer ones that attach to the body, make sure to get the ones with the correct clips.

Ha. Once again I post right after Saylor. We joined 1 day apart and have very similar cars...

I found the outter kit for $90 shipped (car wiskers) not a bad price and I'm going to order them soon...I just can't get over the cost of the normal rubber seals! I would love to replace the door gaskets and the top roof seals . I might try and get some universal stuff and give that a try

I would pay a king's ransom for ANYBODY to make roof rail seals for a Formal! None are available on the entire planet and 99% of all Formal hardtops need them now.

Legendary offers outer door to glass seals. I think they were around $90.00 for the set of four. I used them on Jazabelle but was not to happy with there performance, I think the rubber used is a little to stiff and the glass drags going up.
