Interesting to say the least. I spy a 66 Polara/Monaco front bumper and grille shell, with the top levelled off to match the hood. You can just see the section he's grafted in on the top of the grille shell. Interior is well thought out with shoulder belts (at least for the rear seat) and nice tasteful seat upgrade. The custom work (whether it's one's cup of tea or not) seems nicely done too. I am not so sure about the tail lights myself, but once that car is painted properly (colour change considered too), it might be a very nice custom.

Like most of the work with the exception of the taillights. The car needs a total repaint too. I like the seats, and the three on the tree is very cool. I'd rate it a 6.5 out of 10

Zounds! Tail lights aside, I kinda like it! The guy had a vision (better than most) and ran with it. Glad to be missing the 24" rims! I just wrote the seller asking him to consider a "buy it now" option.

Just how well (or not well) would the three speed manual do with the 383 at freeway speeds?

It's all in the rear end gear - it would likely be just fine with a 3:23 or longer (lower numerically).
