The 489 8 3/4 3rd member wouldn't be correct for your car. You car being a 67 would ether have a 741 or a 742 3rd member. The 489 didn't come out until 69. Also the factory sure-grip 489's are usually a cone type sure-grip. They are not rebuild-able to new standards. You are better off getting ether the clutch style sure-grip with 741 742 case or getting the new Detroit true trac sure grip. Its a maintenance free unit with gears that won't wear out.
