Hey guys,

I'm doing a disc swap on my '68 Polara wagon. I'm using '72 New Yorker discs. Just wondering if the lower ball joint is the same between the two, or if disc brakes used a different lower ball joint. If they're the same I'll use the ones that were in the car, they're fairly new.

As long as your wagon has drum brakes the ball joints are the same as 72. The orphan joint is the 65-68 Budd 4 piston disc brake.

Ball joint is the same from 65-73 for drum or single piston disc brakes.

If your wagon has the 4 piston Budd system you can still convert to the 72 single piston brakes and spindles by using the above mentioned 65-73 ball joints. The lower control arms are the same 65-73 regardless of brake type.
