NOT MINE '70 Newport 2-door Hardtop.

A Fury GT was special to me when I was 13. I didn't know a damn thing about them but I knew it. Certainly an indigo car with GT on the quarter had to get acknowledged.
Obviously no because I understand everything you're saying as weve seen it happen for years.
Frustrating!

Is this Harold still kicking?, surely someone would've kept records of cars coming and going, maybe they know where it ended up.

Howdy All
This made for an interesting read. As I'm in a similar situation as I've posted my 70 Newport Convertible for sale sending many, many pictures and videos and no offers. I look at the car and my other projects and theorize pulling the "HP" 383 and transmission and putting it elsewhere. It would save time in rebuilding another motor/transmission and get another car running, and the other car is not E body. As I'm liquidating all of my E body treasures. Then parting the Newport out, though the thought of supporting shipping companies galls me. It does appear that I will have the next 5 months to decide as the Convertible is put up for the winter.
At least 1 other person said it, and I agree - it would be a shame to dismantle your Newport.
Although I also appreciate that nobody can understand another guy's situation from afar.

I'm one of the folks that talked to you about your car, I apologize that I probably didn't give you good closure from my end.
I have a car I'm working to get road-ready to sell, which must happen before I could buy another car. And it's taking longer than I had hoped.

I cannot say that I would become a buyer for your car, just that I would hope you would find some other option than slicing it up.

Are there no running bigblocks available near you for your other projects?
I have a 383 here almost ready to drop in something, but we're about 1500+ miles apart.

The indigo GT............

Thank you. PP23U1D140114 indeed.

Looking a the pics 1 final time - I think there are a lot of flaws in the sheetmetal and paint on this one, I'm betting it looks noticeably worse in person.

Here's the Florida GT your probably talking about from what i was told it was brought up to the Detroit area and cut up. Murray Park has what's left of it my buddy @Trailer Park nabbed the fender for my GT.

That is as I recall... I do have a photo somewhere. Was in similar condition when I saw it, except no engine. Destroyed for nothing more than the date and HP stamp. VIN was probably obliterated and restamped, otherwise why bother? The HP stamp means nothing on a rebuild.. I could build the same or better internal engine than the factory from any 71 440 block, (and no federal law against adding an HP stamp to the distributor pad) so if you're properly disclosing a NOM, why scrap an easily restored and rare part of the RTS?

If you purchased a 1971 musclecar from the Harold Sullivan collection, you may be eligible for compensation...

lol, I would love to see that happen!
