'70 Parts Swap

Hello....I'm a newbie here and this is my first time posting......
I have a 70 Fury convertible.....having a difficult time finding '70 parts/donors.....finding a '69 is more common. Wondering about the windshield and dashboard on a '69 convertible. Will they work on my '70???

The windshield will.

The dashboard is different. Ignition switch on the column on your '70, on the dash for the '69. Wiring for the dash will also be quite different because of this. I don't know the Furys well, but I don't think much of the rest interchanges. But, you don't have to just use a dash from a convertible if that helps your search.

If you're talking about a dashpad, then I'd just pull the existing one in the car and send it to Bob. The one he did on my 70 looks great.

Of course, finding a windshield might be easier than you think too. They used two windshields on all the C-bodies from '69-73. One fits the four door sedans and wagons (41,45,46) and the other fits everything else, two door sedans, two door hardtops, convertibles, fastback, four door hardtops, (21,23,27,29,43) Number refers to the roofline, third and fourth character in your VIN.

Unless it is specifically for the convertible to system most anything you need can come off a 70 Fury hardtop, unless it is for the doors you can even use 4-door and wagon parts will work.

Basically remove "convertible" from your search terms.
