Out for a ride today with my better half. Took a cruise to a distant diner for breakfast and to the local Record / CD / DVD store. In between the two while coming to a stop at a traffic light I glanced over and saw familiar tail lights. Of course I pulled in.

The car was in for service , apparently his deceased father's car, the customer wants to keep the car going. A white two door, vinyl top, blue interior, cruise control, tilt wheel, AC, AM/FM 318. I've never seen the car before and he's five miles from me.
This is why I say, you never know what's out there

I was going to ask you if you knew of any white 71 Polara convertibles in central Ohio. I passed him 2 miles from my house on old national road 40, last summer. I almost turned around and chased him down, in Goldie.

He had Ohio tags, never have seen him before or since. Not even at Nats in Columbus.

Is anyone familiar with Charles Bronson in mr. majestyk movie. There’s a nice black one in it quite a bit but not sure which year tho.

Nice pics of that '71 coupe. I took some nice pics of a '71 myself when I took a ride to Seaside for the evening of 8/8 for the all Mopar show. Never saw you by the car,but obviously I was right there. Maybe if I was better at math I would have put 2+2 together and recognized the car.

That car is etched in my memory, hope to see it in person someday.

Remember , 1970 was the last year so it would be a 70 ....

I once drove to Wakeman Ohio to see this car around 1999 or 2000. Cash was in my pocket, I even put insurance on it so I could drive it home . My inexperience kept me from buying her, could have been fate, not sure which. I never heard of the car again . :BangHead:

She's a 70, no 71 convertibles. Did you have your 68 with you? I found the people at the show to be rude (except one helper /club member) even the Stewarts people werent nice. My wife and I sat on the dock over the water for 1 hour, then we headed out. Good thing too, I beat the rain to my garage by 10 minutes

You would think at this late stage of my life, I would remember '70 was the last year for c-body verts. I think I was putting 71 because it is part of your forum name. I feel like a numbskull. I have to agree, that the people were a little rude(hmmmm....funny we were in South Jersey) but the actual club members seemed extremely elderly (80ish)and were having trouble organizing the parking. I think they were overwhelmed by the turnout. There were so many modern Challengers/Chargers owners who I found to be elitist and condescending to the classic owners. I didn't bring the '68 because of the weather forecast, and it was a good thing ,I got slammed with rain/lightning most of the way home, which was 96 miles. I had the Red Durango R/T.

And I thought I was the long distance runner . I agree, the Metric owners were mostly J/Os which seemed to be most of what filled the parking lot . They had a full house by the time I left, I guess 7 or just after .

Funny, I consider that North Jersey, every bit of it.

Who knows it might have stayed in state. You can bet if I see it again, I will chase it down this time. :)

Thanks for the correction I forgot 70 was the last year for the convertibles, I was even debating from my memory of it was a 70 or 71.

There is also a 70/71 full size Plymouth at 1.25......
And at 2.02 the Ply can be seen turning around...

Couldn't find the Mr. Majestyk movie in free media in English or German, just French and English with one single Russian translator talking into the whole English conversations. So I found this Little gem with quite some Mopar iron, not always treated very nicely.
