i have s 1970 Plymouth Futy 3 AM radio and have the opportunity to buy a 74 from a Plymouth wagon. They have left side knobs. Will the 74 fit in my 70? Appreciate the feedback!

WHICH model of '74 Plymouth? B-body or C-body?

'74 C-bodies went to the then-new corporate "big faceplate" radio. It would probably take a good bit of modification to the '70 Plymouth Fury instrument panel to even get it CLOSE to fitting, I believe.

MIGHT be possible for a '74 B-body radio to fit the '70 instrument panel. "Both knobs on one side" doesn't really affect the chassis mounting lugs and index dowels.

The simple answer is "no". Your faceplate has a curve that matches the face of the dash. There are other reasons that swap won't work, but the faceplate the most obvious.
