it would be easier if you posted a Link.
yea I agree, what was explained to me on how to post a link doesn't work with what I am using. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again, if I could delete it i would

Looks pretty solid and original and dented up.

Left fender looks to have been in more than one bender.

Im wondering if the old gas/ varnish was run thru it and gummed the top end up, too bad..

What a sad development on this, otherwise very fine car

(Price apparently dumped 2000, due to a "bad gasoline reaction"..)..

Todays lecture..: "Always flush flush flush, before drive drive drive, after store store store..."

"It seems that after cool down the intake valves stick badly enough to cause the pushrods to come out of position."

Eh...ok...that's a new one on me. Wonder how he came up with?

At 87k miles, it wasn't too far from needing an engine refresh, but I hope he hasn't screwed it up so bad that it will need new heads or something.

He doesn't know what he's talking about.
New carb, new fuel lines, clean the tank.
You're good to go.

My 300 did something similar as he describes, but without the "old gass-issue". After a season of storage - already when cranking, the engine emitted an unpleasant "impact-like" sound, and bent two push rods. None of the valves seemed stuck, but the rods must have met some unforeseen resistance of some sorts. When disassembled, it turned out, that is had several different valve springs, so I got that sorted, as well as a few other issues, and now it runs perfect!
