71Polara383's '70 GT is going to a good home - Not Mine

As long as you don't claim that buying Missouri was "settling"...

No! That was the car my heart was searching for . It mimicked the very first 70 polara convertible I ever saw 4 miles from home, K5, L36, W23, 383 , white top WHITE interior. That was in 84 sitting in the weeds behind a local flower shop. I last saw it in the later 90s at a body shop with a tarp blown off of it , no top and flat tires .
Last I heard it was under police investigation as to its whereabouts . That was 20 years ago.
That was the one that got my convertible juices going ...

Her bags are packed.

Joe had better get out of Illinois by this evening, given the snow storm that's coming :steering:

Sad ending on that one, but glad you got Missouri!

PS: 383-2, I presume, since you never mentioned it in the list of the 5 N-codes of which you're aware?

Well...a happy ending. The car is saved. Joe is a super nice guy and I am glad to see him so happy with the GT. The end for my part of the story. Joe will be telling the next chapter.

What happened to the playground? Where is the tow truck, and all the other stuff in the front of the shop? It looks bare in there.

Did Joe mention what it cost to rent the Uhaul truck and trailer...I'd guess it's priced by the day, and not by the mile?

The truck is a bit more than a pickup is, but you can't get a pickup for a one way rental. :stop: :wtf: :drama:

The tow truck and fire truck were just waiting for their new home to be built. The monza is in the trailer out back. More room for me to fill it up with C bodies!
I liked that old tow truck, just cool vintage metal. More room is always a good thing!
