This car is fighting me every step of the way.. but I'm winning every battle. I took the ps pump brackets off to clean. Pretty sure I got it right but I'm not 100 percent on the rear nuts...
I tried to pry the pulley off until I saw I was bending it... got that straightened out (pun intended) so I can spin it without any wobble. I didnt pry enough to bend the whole thing but now the entire assembly is offset to the rear on the left (driver) side. I contacted Hoffman's and they sent a drawing of the brackets and parts but not of the placement...there is one "washer" shown and I don't know where that goes... I have stared at it for a long time and the best I can guess is I need a spacer at the end of the tube that the bolt goes through. I also found out there is a parts manual. I have the chassis manual.
Anyone know the order of parts or have access to an exploded digraam of the parts? I was able to download the chassis manual free of charge (thanks to the member who sent the link) and would like to get the parts manual...

Well don't listen to me, listen to the guys that sold you the kit. I was just posting based on the geometry I saw there.

I'd also ad that if that's the proper arrangement, then the big bracket is bent to the rear. Bend it so the ears that attach to the pump are more towards the radiator support.

I am listening to you and I'm grateful for the tip.... btw they didn't sell me the kit..these are the original brackets..I did some googling and found them.. and for the record they were very responsive over several emails in spite of the fact that I wasn't buying anything. For sure if I ever need something they sell I will buy from them

Gonna try your suggestion tonight

Once you've done the big bracket bending to get things close, that's what flat washers are for...

I've improved pulley allignment on many a P.S. pump that way over the years.

Right... so by definition the entire assembly is out of allignment to the crankshaft pulley. Shim the pump to the brackets to allign the system with the crankshaft pulley.
