1977 Dodge Charger SE 8,600 original miles!

1977 Dodge Charger SE with only 8,600 miles. They're only original once and this Charger is like a time capsule featuring its factory "Starlight Blue" paint job, original white vinyl top and white tape stripes. The light blue interior is completely original too and still shows like new. The engine compartment has not been detailed and still looks nearly new-- even the radiator hoses, drive belts, and spark plug wires are factory original! This car was garage kept since new and is completely rust free. The tires are new BF Goodrich Radial T/A's, but the vehicle's original GoodYear Polysteel white lettered tires will be included in the sale. The car is equipped with a 318 V8, factory air conditioning, AM/FM stereo, Rally wheels, tinted glass, dual remote sport mirrors, split 60/40 reclining front seat, and electric rear window defroster. It is also equipped with bumper rub strips, door edge guards, and body side moldings. This car runs and drives just as good as it looks. Car will come with its original books, paperwork, and build sheet.

Flipper!! I was interested in this car last September right before I bought my Cordoba. It was for sale at a Chrysler dealership in Alabama. Will was kind enough to lay eyes on it for me and said it was legit. The night the car sold, I could have gotten it for $6500 plus $600 doc fees for a grand total of $7100. There is a pretty good amount of wiggle room at his asking price. Mind you now that the car was on Ebay twice, once BIN for $8900 and then $7900. And each time it did not meet reserve which was a $1000 less than the BIN. He bought the wrong car to try to make a killing on, at least for anyone in the know.

If nothing else, all Craig listers could take a lesson in ad presentation. Very well done and lots of pics without the garden hose

Beautiful car...If only it had a t bar roof, console and 400...:poke: it would be perfect

It wouldn't hurt my feelings to rack up some miles on this one... but I'm the wrong guy... where's @Dobalovr

It's difficult to drive a low mileage car
I'm not sure I would be willing to own one... I wouldn't want to pay the mileage premium just to drive it away... condition matters far more to me... that and I'm cheap.

Just want to clarify that the BIN prices I listed were from the Ebay auction by the DEALER and not the current seller. I figure with shipping and the new tires the seller is into the car for around $9000(if he purchased at the $7100 I could have).Still a $3000 mark up at minimum.

Doesn't matter to me how many miles are on a car......

All cars were built to be driven.

I would drive it every chance I could in fair weather.

It is a hard decision to make. I drove the Cordoba over 400 miles round trip to Carlisle and it still is under 12,000 miles. It will probably hit that mark later this summer. We all need to remember that when every car that was ever made was meant to do one main thing.....be driven. Short of a museum piece, that is what should be done with them. Anyone who has been in this hobby for a short amount of time knows that the worst thing for a car to do is sit. If I average the mileage that I did with my Monaco over the same time period(25 years) my Cordoba will still be under 20,000 original miles 24 years from now! So,yea, drive the damn cars!

Cars need to be driven. That being said, I can't imagine driving this without first replacing all of the dry rotted parts from sitting for so long.

I'm not quite ready for a world of $10-$15k Cordobas regardless of mileage. In my mind these should still be $2-$5k cars. I'm seeing ads for run of the mill "survivor" cars for $20k around here! For $20k I could be driving a "survivor" 300 letter car....nope not ready for these to be in that class as much as I love the car......

Then again maybe I am wrong....

I just passed on a 79 300, sunroof, 360, loaded, for 2.2k, had fresh paint, he started at 3500. If the blue car was a sunroof car, 7100 would be a bargain to me, yeah, Id drive it.

At this point in my life, I would just pay the 10 grand or so for that Charger and be done with it.
If I really, really, had to have one. But I don't.

Out of curiosity how many sunroof 79 300's do you think were produced? I can only find reference to 5 coming to Canada....which makes my interest in them all the more interesting....
