Good Afternoon guys,
A few questions about the wiper system in my 77 New Yorker. Got the system back together and reinstalled it in the car. Now we are attaching the arms and testing them. However, we noticed that the blades' range of motion goes lower on the body than when the blades are in park. Is this normal? Makes it hard to keep the blades low in park without them hitting the plastic stops when on.
Thanks,

Some of those have have a cam adjustment feature incorporated into the plastic cover on the wiper motor just below where the linkage cam attaches. If yours is that type, there is a plastic peg that sticks out of the cover and there are multiple sockets that the cover peg can drop into, each socket location changes the geometry of the wiper sweep. They used this system to make the wiper motors compatible with a variety of mopar applications. If this is a replacement motor, they are just about always in the wrong position from the rebuilder.
