A/C is blowing warm. Ideas as to the best place to get a recharge. If that is even possible.

If it's not done already, have it converted to R-134A refrigerant. But, take it to a shop that is experienced in working on the older Mopar A/C units, because if the conversion isn't done right, your compressor will seize, most likely at a very inopportune time.

Thanks. It is not done. Question is how / where to find a shop that does the conversion in this area.

You can call local automotive repair shops and ask if they work with R-12.
Or go through the conversion process.

R-12 is still available, albeit pricey. However, identifying where it is escaping will be a more expensive task.

The car was in a car collection and until March 2023 had not been moved since 2015. I would prefer to convert to 134-A and will check around to see who can do it.
 
Does your New Yorker have the Auto Temp II system or standard A/C? If it is Auto Temp you may have have a harder time finding a shop willing to work on it. They can be a challenge to say the least. Good luck.
 
I don't agree with this guys opinions but his knowledge is good
