A Little Color In Our World

Not quite as colorful, but might be interesting to anyone that has heard of "fracking".

Marcellus Shale is named for this outcropping, just a couple miles from me.

How about a couple colorized pics from years ago?

I happen to love these pictures of Syracuse back when the trains ran right through the downtown area. They did this for almost 100 years, ending in 1936.

Most, if not all, of the buildings in these pics are still standing.

Kinda have to show the Erie Canal running through Syracuse too. Not sure of the year on this one, but it was 19th century.

We had snow three or four days ago, but it was gone by the next afternoon. This visitor was here a couple of days ago. I snapped the pic through my window, as close as I could get without scaring it away.
