I finally had a chance to catch up on some Polara stuff for the first time in what feels like months, and I found this Reddit thread on the car:
Here's the seller's notes on the car:
"My first car, purchased when I was 16 years old, this 1970 Dodge Polara Convertible is one of only ~850 produced. It’s been garage kept for most of the last 20 years.
Obviously it’s in tough shape, and needs a significant rebuild. The engine was replaced in 2002 from the original 318 to a 400 out of a ‘73 Newport.
This was my first car, and I remember showing off to all my high school friend’s dads. Most of whom had a story about “the one they shouldn’t have sold” when they were in high school.
I’m turning 40 this year and it’s now obvious that I don’t have the time, tools, or training to restore it. I’m considering selling it to make room in the garage for something I can actually enjoy on the road, instead of just in memories.
