ANY suppliers of seat covers for a 71 Sport Fury? (for a friend)

Nope! Order fabric from SMS, then have covers made according to the original cover pattern.

Isn't that exactly what legendary does? I bought covers for a '70 Newport from them and they are perfect and they were fast. Not that it mattered, they have yet to be installed. They do have sales occasionally, which is why I got them. That and I desperately need them.

I'm not sure if Legendary gets all of their material from SMS. It would be cost prohibitive, so it would seem, for them to do so. Material for my seats cost me over $500. Legendary usually sells their sets for around that price (at least for some of the cars I have bought covers from them).

If you're not looking for factory original, in the 50s - 70s you could get excellent covers that went over top of the orinals.

This guy specializes in them:

Seat covers for 1949-80 bench seat cars, vinyl, not original patterns, comes with hog rings.
Covers were made in the 60’s and kept in

Yes, that is what Legendary does. However, if they do not have your pattern, in this case '71 Sport Fury Buckets (?) in their computer then one of their dealers said that Legendary will make them if you send them your original seat cover but plan on spending $1,000 or more on top of what a similar kit costs and plan on waiting over a year.

They make kits for '71 300 buckets. The only difference is the seams in the inner seating surface that make the seat pattern.

I am going to be looking into getting some NOS vinyl and having them made by an upholstery shop that was recommended.

The vinyl in our cars was simple back then. Mostly a common grain pattern and in black or white. . .I walked into the local shop and had my bench and rear seats re done. I was insistent on original stitching and they did one hell of a nice job with it, you couldn't tell the difference
