1949 ford prefect.... you won't park next to yourself at a car show with this

I was speaking to someone the other day and he said he was going to put in a 67 Sport Fury. It has a 383 and is supposed to be all original in good condition. Part of an estate sale.

I may go and preview the cars. If anyone is interested in something let me know and I will try and look at it.
The auction is trying to make big claims saying they want to be the Barret Jackson of the north. I like a good laugh ever so often.

Lots of information on the auction and auctioning service but little to no information on each car or motorcycle.
They have a looong way to go to be BJ.

Unless it's a very specific car that I am after I just pretty much walk away when they don't give any information about the cars. No impulse buys from me.

If anyone is collecting VIN details of 1967 Fury's here ya go.

This is the car I was talking about earlier. This is part of the estate sale I bought my truck from. I’m discussions with the executor the car is supposed to be in extremely good condition although I can’t verify it. He told me the appraisal is for 30k cdn and he is hoping to get 25k. I think that might be a reach.

With online bidding closing today on the first 70 lots, here is where some cars stand. Final bidding starts in 2 hours.
66 Chrysler 300.........$1700
60 Dodge Phoenix........$2200
69 Sport Fury........$2300
75 Road Runner......$4900
78 Lebaron........$500
67 VIP......surprisingly only sitting at $1000.
All in Canadian dollars pretty cheap if you ask me, of course the prices rise in the last couple of minutes, but who knows, some have no reserves.

I just got back from prevuing the sale.
The 66 300 looks to be decent and would be a good buy
Same goes for the 60 Phoenix
The 69 sport fury is rough and needs lots of work
The 75 Road Runner is a rusty junk bucket. Even the roof has a hole in it. Rear quarter are totally gone.
The 78 Lebaron could be the steal of the show. It looks to be in good condition but may have had a respray or partial at some time, look at the door sticker. It would be a great daily driver likely to go cheap unless there is a reserve on it. Biggest issue is the lack of an AC system. If I hadn’t spent a ton of money lately I would go after it.
The 67 VIP would be a good car but does have a couple of imperfections. From what I understand this is the car with a 25k reserve on it based on a 35k appraisal. I personally don’t think it’s worth it but it is a nice car.
There is also an 86 Cutlass Supreme lot #69 with 54k that is at 2200. Great looking car and would be a good one to get.

Besides these there are lots of nice higher end cars and trucks. Decent auction.
