B - J 2019

No cable for me either. Good reason to go see it in person.
I just want to walk around and look at cars... I don't know how long I could watch the auction floor before I'd be bored to death... Probably have more fun watching the crowd and gauging bank accounts by the age gap and cosmetic surgery...:D

coming up Friday Lot 986.

Not many C's on show roster.
Couple of Forward Looking Fin Chryslers and Dodges here and there...
*Saturday is "Superbird Saturday" if that's your thing...think 5-6 on the docket.

Actually the letter designation for the bodies didn't come along until 65. The 64 Fury was the full size Plymouth. In 65 they made the full size the C body and the Fury became the C and the Belv the intermediate B.
Nope started 1960 with the Valiant was first A body. 1962 saw B body. 1965 C body. 1967 D body. 1970 E body. 1976 F body. 1978 G body. On and on till rear drives came back.

Too much of the resto-mod and pro touring junk. Someone puts a lot of time, effort, and geetus into these things and the sad part is that underneath the exaggeration and bling, there could be a nice old car.

Just got home from the auction. Had a great time with my wife and oldest grandson. Met up with Jeff (cantflip) and made plans to get together again during the week. It is an unbelievable experience. Great car show and more. By mid afternoon the crowd is huge. It's a madhouse for sure but a lot of fun. I will be starting a new thread with pictures of our cars in a bit. Here's s picture to show the crowd watching the auction .

SEMA is on my "to do" list too... but I want to find out if I can wrangle some passes for the inside of the event too, not just the public part.

Had a great day, meeting up with Chris was a big highlight... followed by a hockey game.FWIW, my brother and I aren't weirdos who dress alike... we're weirdos who dress alike to watch Penguins...

I appreciate them like Superbirds, etc...would never buy one...and I don't know much about them or deciphering one authentic Hurst from another or replica...when I see one I know people flock to them...so fun to share and see what she might bring at the auction.

Interesting to be sure... as heavily chroma-accentuated as that picture is, I don't actually mind the vinyl top on that car, incorrect or not...
