Hey guys,

I catched me some Fuselage fever. And got some company for the 69 Fury.
A really nice 1969 Chrysler 300. I’m gonna “De-customize“ it a little.
Replace the wheels with steelies. And replace some custom interior parts with original stuff I found on this page.
The car runs on LPG, which is much cheaper than gasoline here in the Netherlands.

DAMN.. Thats a sweet one, Im sure your declutter will do her justice..

Whats her story??
Thanks.
Story, former owner got it from the US in 2005. He sold and bought the car twice over here. And hopes to buy it back from me, should I put it up for sale in some future :)
Other than that, what can I tell, 440, 727, not sure (yet) about originality.

I like the color combination... and yea, the wheels need to go.

It would be interesting to see some pics of the LP conversion.

Wel gefeliciteerd! If you could post the fender tag and the build sheet (assuming there is one), that would be great and some might be able to tell you more about the car's history pre-2005.

I look forward to seeing your car with the new wheels.

Thank you for posting! CM23K9C158938 has the D51 axle ratio (see line 2), so the ratio is 2.76:1 and I don't see a D91 Sure Grip, by the way. @69CoronetRT will confirm and may be able to see things that I do not.

Ok thanks. I counted rotations of the wheel and axleshaft. One wheel rotation was about 1.25 axle rotation. I read you need to double the 1.25 when it is a open differential!? So 2x1.25=2.5. Ratio probably 2.76 to 1? Might explain the sluggish feeling when accelerating?

congratulationa Aad

Not the 71 you were looking for but at least a 300

Enjoy !

Carsten

Sharp looking car and sharp looking garage!
I like the lpg, I have always wanted to do a conversion on something. Nearly impossible to find bulk propane around here anymore. You wouldnt want to venture far from home.
And the price is more than gas at times or close enough figuring lpg is about 80% of the energy value of gasoline. If I remember right it is stable enough to withstand a little more compression.
And supposedly does not carbon foul like petrol.
