C-Body Police Cars Thread

in 1963-64 Chrysler offered "Enforcers" as hopped up Newport 4DS or wagon. 413 300 engine, HD everything. There is a brochure out there. I have a few captured photos with no history as to whether they came out of the barn as cop cars. First pic is a NY--perhaps for the Chief or Broderick Crawford.

I’m digging that little Red Express tucked in the corner too. What’s the story with that one?

Don't know anything about that one. That was at my restoration guy's shop.

Some more pics. Some things were not done correctly that I will need to fix.

That’s cool. What’s the build date on them?
OP can answer if visible, but I am guesssing the mid-1970's.

Neat to have, but for ME, i would hesitate to exceed 25 mph on them, let alone do cop stuff while wearing them.

cool find though.

I think I've seen these before on Craigslist, grab them while you can... they have been marked down $200.00 to $400.00 for the pair!

From an email I got from Goodyear when I was looking into the tires used in 69, the 8.55-15

"Police Special Polyglas HB-1 G78-15 April 1 1969

In Summary, Yes, the California Patrol Cars would have come with an 8.55-15
Bluestreak Police Special Polyglas.
The same tire from the same mold was made with H-78 stamped on the sidewall
(The picture is a G-78)

The mold code was an HB-1, so I will try to use that to find the actual
dimensions."
