I switched from my original hubcaps with white wall tires to the optional W23 road wheels with black wall. I almost went with white raised lettering tires.

Bone stock works for me.
225/70Rx15 on 15X7 rims modified to accept the original 14" wheel covers.
This tire/wheel combo fills the wheel wells and are a diameter match of the original 8.55/78X14 tires.
Speedometer/odometer are dead on again.

Weld the outer part of a 14" rim to the edge of the 15" rim. @pomonamissel has done this before.
