Interesting. Lot going on here in addition to wheels: 20-inch Raceline wheels and 245/40/20 and 255/45/20 tires.

As a fan of this car (i.e., '67-'68 Imps) I would not do any of these things.

However, let me confess .. i will surely be called heretical for what I am doing with my '68 CC in the queue (I found it here as a roller seven years ago - still horsing around with this odd duck fixer upper, a roller in found here on FCBO in 2018 (factory turquoise ext./green int.).

Not dropping this kinda lettuce they did on this one, but definitely not going stock, nor Hemi (we wound up going with a dialed up '68 cop HP mill I harvested from a rust bucket statie Fury I 20 years ago).

That said, I do kinda like it. Bet this big green sum- gun can bite down hard and hold its own in a sprint. I, howver, await @detmatt's view - PW but not P-Vents:poke:

Epic fail with the shaker hood and why spend that mountain of money and not add power vents, it would have been so easy and cheap compared to some of these other mods. Otherwise I absolutely love it!

If I had a new Hemi laying around, I might have done that. I would not have done a shaker setup, though I DO like the fact (looks like its well done/functional ) its NOT likely another one is gonna pull next to ya at the stop light on cruise night.

I can forgive them for NOT doing power vents ... they coulda caved in and put a garish go-wing on it. I woulda lost all respect for it had that been done.

And, even though it probably weighs 5,000 lbs. it could still probably teach lesser sleds a lesson.

Which I still get a thrill doing AND pissing off the purist haters -- at the same time:poke:

Hood scoops seem like waving red capes in front of wanna-be bulls. All it usually takes is a couple raps on the 493 to take the wind outta them .. no law breaking necessary.

I am not doing 20 inch wheels on my '68 CC .. 18x8 is all I can shoehorn in out back without mods. I think it will come out cool .. it'll definitely be different and a FRACTION of the orange money they dropped on this "Gator".

The mirrors are pretty ugly too, but the power mirror switch is even worse. I would have gone for seats with built in belts to avoid the sightline being interrupted. BUT it is great to see one of these done, too few are given the love they deserve (Matt aside, and I bet you wouldn't put matte on the hood mate!)

1968 Newport.

They look like 18" late model Charger/Challenger wheels (5x115" B.P). Width probably NOT wider than 8 inches to fit rear without mods) & tire size unknown.

Appear to fit pretty good, skirts and all.
