Changing shocks on 73' Newport!

Front shock on a C body are a pain to swap...lots of fiddling to get the new ones in (new ones seem to be "fatter" than the original ones). But it can be done without removing the arms.

I dropped the arm in my 73 Newport after fighting the first shock to get it in place the only thing is I wish I never bought kyb shock cause they suck so I have to do it again

The passenger side I was able to do, the driver side I had to take apart.

That's how I did mine. You have to he-man the old ones out they compress easier than the new ones. Tie the new ones down with zip ties and slip them in. I used the ground to my advantage. Compress the shocks by pointing the tip in the concrete and pushing down then tie them up.

my and my homeboy compressed the shocks then zip tied them. line em up, then cut the zip tie with a snip. on a 68.
