Hi, I have my wagon front stripped down with the motor out. I am looking for a stamped number some-were on the front rails or body. Is there a factory stamp.

I don’t know about 64s,but on
61/62s there is a sequence order # on firewall under heater box.
The sequence number will match your fender tag number.
The VIN will not appear anywhere else on vehicle.
Just on the door pillar.
There are NO hidden VIN #s
on sub frame, motor, sheet metal that I know of.
I’ve asked this question before and this is the answer I got from guys that have done nut and bolt restoration of 60-62 letter cars.
I’ve looked everywhere on 61 Plymouths and haven’t found anything.

On the firewall through ‘66 then iirc it moved to the top of the cowl.

Thanks , found it under a lot of paint. My fenders are in the body shop, so were is the tag number on them.
He’s referring to the data tag which is commonly called a fender tag as it was found on the inner fenders on the later years. On your car this tag is probably on the LH A-pillar near the vin tag.

Pic of my 64 880 wagon, vin tag and data tag.
