Hello,

I am looking to get a few things rechromed. Then possibly more. (My car doesn't have that much) I'm wondering in anyone knows of a good place to do that. I'm in upstate NY about an hour North of Syracuse.

Thanks

I am too very interested. I am in western MA and did some searching awhile back. Found one in Penn and MA and Conn but have no experience with any other than online reviews. But as they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease,[complainers] but it is hard to tell whom is really good. You usually hear from the pissed off ones and not so much the satisfied ones.

I've heard the outfit in Erie PA is real good, but I even know their name, only that they do good work.

one of my neighbors sent his 51 mercury bumpers here. he was satisfied with everything but the price.

someone here had work done at sandy's bumper mart in syracuse. don't remember who.
Sandy's Bumper Mart, Inc. Chroming and plating specialists
That was me. Decent quality and prices. Turn over time three months--deppending on what they have going on.
Not Pebble Beach quality but better than dead old bumpers.

I just dropped off 18 trim pieces from my 77 wagon (pot metal luggage rack pieces, misc pot metal beltline moldings) , the front bumper and horns to Niagara custom plating. $500 for the misc pieces, $750 for the bumper and horns. It is my 5th project there and regardless of what I ask for, it comes back show quality. All it takes to get it done is. A couple of reminder calls. He does a lot of bikes and a lot of classics. Popular with the AACA guys here. The machine shop across the road is going to try and make my luggage rack cross members.

You won't find him on the web. He does answer the phone but he doesn't look like he does a lot of shipping and receiving. His number 716-297-1410. Name is Mike Bobick.

PM me if you want to send the parts here, I can take them over and make sure they get back to you.

Sandy's Bumper Mart in Syracuse has done stuff for me over the years and I've always been happy. I had some die cast convertible trim done a couple years ago and it turned out really nice.

They are a little slow and the place is not in a a great section of town, but they do good work at a fair price.
