Did they have the same engine? I want to say a slant six has different engine mount pads.

65 is a one year only piece. As far as I know, the steering box mounting is different.

Driver side engine mount for sure is different 65 to 66 but yes the 65 frame will bolt into the 66.

It will bolt in, but motor mounts are different (results in engine setback different from 66), steering box mount is different, and that's just off my memory. It can be made to work though...

What it all boils down to is yes, but it's not plug and play.

thanx guys...the 65 has a wide poly block and I have a 72' 318. will I have to change motor mounts anyway?
