Hello everybody, new guy here. Glad to find a bunch of Chrysler fans!

I am just starting the restoration of a '68 Newport convertible that I've had in a garage for the last 16 years. The first order of business is the top and I know at least one of main arms that raise it had gotten bent and is now lost. Any ideas on where I can look for a top assembly or parts? And does anyone know of a list of what convertible tops are compatible?

Welcome aboard! Can you post a few pictures? Sounds like a very nice car.

:hatwave:

Here's a couple places that should be able to help you out:

www.topsdown.com; I don't have any experience with these guys.

www.convertibleparts.com; These guys did all the plumbing from the top on my '65 300 including testing the original pump and installing new cylinders and lines. They also repainted my top frame and installed my new top and pads. It helped that they were right around the corner from me. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. It looks great and goes up and down like it should.

Good luck!

Welcome !!!!! :sSig_greetingsthor: I know where there is one for a 69 Sport Fury ,,,, :ssshhh: ,, :dontknow:

If a 69 would work for you i have a folding assy that I would love to get rid of. I'm not sure if it would interchange with your 68 though..... If so .... it's cheap.

Here is a top company that has been around since 1919, I got mine from them complete with glass back window.... All makes .... all models. The 69 300 in the ad is my car with their top. Installed last year.

:laughing4:

You can try this also, just fill in your info. It's how I located my rear filler panel. Took me about 20 min.
