1979 Dodge Magnum

cylinders: 8 cylinders
drive: rwd
fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: automatic
type: coupe

1979 Dodge Magnum street legal tribute car. The Magnum was the last Dodge that Richard Petty raced before switching to GM in mid season. This car has a strong running 360. Mostly stock with the exception of an Eddelbrock 1405 carb, Holley Street Dominator intake and headers. Paint is only 3 months old. We took everything off the car, stripped it down to bare metal and went from there. This is a very solid Arizona car. I love this driving this car. I get more looks and thumbs ups than you can shake a stick at. People love this car. It has won awards and prizes in 2 of the 3 shows we have entered it in. It does need some TLC. It needs interior work, and the freeze plugs are starting to seep. You don't see many Magnums on the road any more, and even less made into a petty tribute car. Text is the easiest way to get a hold of me. show contact info

That build was all over a Magnum FB page. It seems like it was built over the course of a few weeks. I guess it could be a deal if you're into that sort of thing.

Having a little experience with painting the first thing I noticed is they did a color change the right way. Took all the body panels off and removed everything from the engine compartment.

Considering that so much was removed, why leave the back bumper on?

I'm going out of curiosity, not because I'm going to buy it. I am intrigued by it but I don't need anymore cars.

I'll be curious to hear how it looks up close. $4800 barely covers materials to do what appears to be done there properly never mind anything for labor or the cost of the original car.

Looked at this car yesterday. The paint and body are really nice. Sounds good and owner says it runs good. Unfortunately the rest of the car needs work. Lots of things need work. Heatercore bypassed, couple freeze plugs seeping, speedo not working, wipers not working along with other minor and not as minor items. Interior needs done also. Overall it is well worth what he's asking due to the paint and body being done and done well. While it needs a lot of work all of it is relatively easy to do. So that's the scoop.

OK guys, if anyone is interested in this car he just texted me and said for the next two days he's dropped the price to $3500. That really is a steal. If I didn't have so many irons in the fire I'd jump on it.

You're gonna have to be in love with the paint selection to get a deal on this fire sale.
