Correct Exhaust routing?

I need new exhaust, would like it to look similar to the factory Low restriction duals found on the 383 4 barrel cars or 440 cars, not sure if the exhaust differs between the two. I plan for it to exit in the stock location with a simple set of bent pipe turn downs.

My current Exhaust is a mess and rather than trying to fix it, I'm just going to start from scratch, it actually has a section of the Y pipe still attached, but capped and the exhaust goes 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 with out a proper connection, just a messy weld.

I will get some pictures of the current horror show tomorrow.

The only difference between the two is the hp cars got 2 1/2 " pipes while the non hp cars got 2 1/4" pipes, and of course the 440 is taller than the 383.
